Vital

A spectral-warping wavetable synthesiser. The free Basic tier includes the full synth with 75 presets and 25 wavetables, and a limit of five text-to-wavetable requests per day.

How to use it in horror

Load a wavetable and automate spectral warping slowly across a long note so the timbre twists and smears, creating a sustained tone that gradually turns sour beneath a tense scene.
