Field Kit – Electro Acoustic Workstation

A boxed electroacoustic workstation for building sound from motors, sensors, contact microphones and radio signals. It combines a four-channel mixer with filters, an LFO, a CV-controllable AM/FM/SW radio receiver, an envelope follower, a DC motor/solenoid driver and a sensor-to-CV interface.

How to use it in horror

Drive a small motor against a metal plate fitted with a contact mic, blend in shortwave radio noise, and use the envelope follower to make the radio swell with the scraping for a mechanical, haunted-machine texture.
