MISHBY

A tape machine effect plugin, subtitled 'The Tape Abomination', that the developer describes as 'the little tape machine that couldn't'. 64-bit only, with a 14-day trial in the installer.

How to use it in horror

Run a music-box melody or old-sounding piano through MISHBY to make it sound like a worn, unreliable tape playing back in an abandoned house.
