Espressivo

A phrase-based aleatoric orchestral library for Kontakt Player, with recorded atonal and dissonant performances by strings (60 players), woodwinds (19), brass (22) and percussion (3). The interface shows the score for each phrase, and patches can be randomised per section.

How to use it in horror

Trigger an aleatoric woodwind flurry against a stabbing brass phrase in the same key range to score a frantic chase, letting the randomiser vary each take so repeated scares don't sound identical.
