Drones by Alexander Hacke

A SINE collection of playable drones designed with Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten), made from guitars, celli, basses, trombones, a basso profundo choir, hurdy-gurdy, tanpura, didgeridoo and EBow piano. Samples run about a minute, the mod wheel adds layers, and drone tools give risers and swells; the Arkanum update adds 33 darker drones.

How to use it in horror

Hold a sub drone from the bass choir under an entire scene and push the mod wheel slowly so friction and distortion creep in as the threat gets closer.
