EMPYREAL Atmosphere Designer

An atmosphere-design instrument for full Kontakt 6.6 or later. It has over 1,100 sound sources and presets (5.75 GB, lossless compressed), a dual-core engine that morphs between two sources, adjustable loop points and direction, animated effects chains, LFOs and randomisation, and drag-and-drop loading of your own samples. Preset tags include Dark – Scary, Dissonant, Detuned and Experimental – Chaos.

How to use it in horror

Blend a 'Dark – Scary' source with a detuned one and let a slow LFO move the blend, so a background atmosphere keeps shifting without ever settling.
