Doom Drones

A collection of 120 ambient drone loops (24-bit/96 kHz WAV, 3 GB), 60 by SoundMorph's Jason Cushing from field recordings and subtle tonal design and 60 by electronic musician Arovane using synthetic textures. Categories include cold halls, basements, tunnels, machine rooms, industrial and synthesised drones.

How to use it in horror

Use a basement or machine-room loop as the bed of a long suspense cue, pitched to the key of the score, and automate a filter to make the space feel as if it is closing in.
